Recommended ages: 5 - 10

Young Artists' Studio Join anytime. Classes are Fridays – June 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th July 5th, 12th, 26th (no class July 19th) August 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th Time: 1:45 pm – 3:45 pm Age 10 and UP (students younger than 10 are welcome to come and see if this class will work for them) Cost: $15 per session for members/$22.50 per session for non-members, or 4 sessions for $50 for members/ 2 4 sessions for $75 for non-member. Note: Occasionally, Paul does have students work in clay; parents will need to pay for clay and firing charges. Ask instructor for details. Maximum: 10 Class Description: Young people come to an open studio setting to learn and refine artistic skills with artist instructor Paul Hoelscher. The idea behind this ongoing class is to help young people make art the way that most interests them, with an artist who believes that everyone is artistic and who has enough personal experience to be supportive of many media and techniques. Media include acrylic, oil, and watercolor paint, soft and oil pastels, charcoal, graphite, conte`, colored pencil and clay sculpture. Come and create – the sky’s the limit!

Kids Drawing and Painting with Megan Instructor: Megan McGuinness Dates: Thursday and Friday, November 7 & 8 Times: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Location: Crossroads Downstairs Studio Supplies: Student needs to provide a Sketchbook, instructor will provide all other supplies for a $5.00 supply fee. Min: 3 students Max: 10 students Age Requirement: 3rd – 6th grade Cost: $32/member plus $5 supply fee $48/non member plus $5 supply fee "This two-session drawing and painting class will explore technical approaches to creating an acrylic painting from start to finish. The first day will explore drawing techniques and applying them to canvas, and day two will explore painting with acrylics. Bring a favorite picture to paint, or just your imagination. This class is open for 3rd-6th-grade students who want to enhance their painting and drawing skills."

Dance Classes

This class will prepare dancers for more complex movements and some choreography but will still focus on correct placement and ballet technique. Strength, flexibility, fluidity and design/line components will all be included in this expression of the “inner ballerina”

Beginning Ballet 1 – Ages 6-9 years

Beginning Ballet 1 – Ages 6-9 years

Recommended ages: 5 - 10

This class is all about basic classical ballet technique for young beginning dancers. We will focus on standard positions and simple movements at the barre, in center and across the floor. This is a great opportunity to explore musicality and self expression while building strength and gaining flexibility and confidence.
