Annual Student Art Show - 2/2018

Annual Student Art Show - 2/2018

On First Friday in January, we welcome art students from around the county in our Annual Student Art Show. This year we will be featuring the artwork of Baker County High School students and students of Crossroads art classes. This exhibition showcases the talent of local students and illustrates the many ways students can interpret an assignment through their artwork, expressing their individual creativity. Each year we find the student show is very popular with the public. Baker High School art instructors Kristen Anderson and Jill Nelson will be showing the work which their students created this fall. The students have created about 30 - 40 2D pieces including linoleum prints and drawings and around 20 3D pieces including ceramic, sculpture, jewelry and much more. We may also be showing the artwork created by students of all ages, who have taken classes and workshops at Crossroads. You will likely see paintings, drawings, ceramics, watercolor, and clock sculptures from the students who have taken classes taught by Mo Quinn, Steve Wadner, Becky Litke, Paul Hoelscher, Terri Axness, Amy VanGaasbeck, among others. We hope the artwork will inspire new students to take classes and live a more creative life. Opening reception from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm Informal talk begins at 5:30 pm Light refreshments provided by Friends of Crossroads This exhibition is on display through Saturday, January 27th This exhibition is made possible through the generous support of Garchar & Colton CPA's and Chaves Consulting
