In the last year, Crossroads scholarships have been extended to students to access private vocal instruction from Allison Swensen-Mitchell. The growth we have seen in students has been life-altering and Crossroads recognizes that the opportunity for private musical instruction may be out of the grasp for many families in our community. With thanks to Saint Francis De Sales Cathedral, Father Telagani and his staff this remarkable concert will be held at Baker City’s 111-year old Catholic Cathedral. This remarkable evening of music will include: Singers from the Baker High School Musical Theatre program-Jordan Remien, Hannah Johnson, Lily Hoelscher, Grace Taylor and Morgan Stone Organist Gretchen Longwell, from Ontario Samantha Stone, Oboe- Baker High School Graduate, Graduate of Williams College in Bachelor of Arts in Music . Graduate of University of California San Diego- Masters in Music Composition, Class of 2019. Marco Valerio- Baker High School Graduate, Graduate from University of Oregon, Sang with the Eugene Opera and in Italy in multiple performances. Nicolai Strommer, Baker High School Graduate, Graduate from Oregon State University, Masters Degree from Manhattan School of Music, Certificate of Performance from Boston University, Performed with the Minneapolis Opera and is currently on staff at Willamette University. Allison Swensen-Mitchell, Mezzo-Soprano, Bachelors from the University of Southern California in music, Master of Music from Binghamton University in New York. Allison served on the voice faculty at Willamette University where she was the director of Voice and Opera for twenty years. Currently, she maintains an active studio in Baker City Oregon. Tickets will be on sale soon and we ask you to mark your calendar for August 2nd to enjoy of one the most remarkable evenings of music in one of the most beautiful venues in the Northwest!
