Creating Art from a Naturalist's Perspective
Join Alyson Singer, a Crossroads' artis, naturalist and former NPS Park Ranger for a 2-day workshop where we will get outside and explore while observing nature from an artist's perspective. Learn basic birding techniques and create art which reflects our observations and connection to the natural world. On Day 1 (Saturday), we will head to Phillips Lake to do some hiking, birdwatching, sketching and some general discussion and reflection on what we observe. On day 2 (Sunday), we will head into the studio to create original works of art based on our observations from nature.
Sunday's class will meet from noon to 4:00 in Crossroads downstairs classroom which will give you time to draw and paint from your Saturday's sketches.
