Hand-sewn Journal Introduction to Long-stitch Book Binding - Class 2
Long-stitch binding is a form of book binding that originated as far back as 13th century Germany. This binding particular binding method allows the book to lay flar on a surface making it ideal for use as a sketchbook or journal. Participants will learn a basic history of this type of book-binding and will create their very own hand-bound 6” X9” journal. The techniques taught in this class are simple and provide a basic template that can be used to make an endless array of unique variations.
