Four youth posters will be recognized with $50 awards.
This year set global records for heat. As our climate continues to warm, we need to engage all generations, especially our youth who will be mostly affected by a warming climate over time. Eastern Oregon Climate Change Coalition (EOC3) is partnering with the Pendleton Center for the Arts in Pendleton, Crossroads Carnegie Arts Center in Baker City, and Art Center East in La Grande to invite young people to use art to share their vision.
- ALL MEDIA, DIGITAL OR HAND-CRAFTED ACCEPTED. Crossroads Carnegie Art Center will accept entries from across Baker County. Entries are due to Crossroads on January 31st by 5 Pm.
- DROP OFF HAND-CRAFTED POSTERS at 2020 Auburn Ave at Crossroads. All digital entries can be emailed to Executive Director Ginger Savage at ginger@crossroads-arts.org Sizing and detailed information is on the crossroads website at www.crossroads-arts.org
- FREE art supplies and studio space available for use at Crossroads Carnegie Art Center in the upstairs studio every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 10 am to 5pm. All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Crossroads will also have a full day of supplies available on Monday January 15th all day on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
- Entries will be judged and will be on display downstairs at Crossroads on First Friday February 2nd thru February 26th. Award Ceremony will be announced on Monday February 5th at 6pm at Crossroads and is open to all participants and family members.
