Batik Basics
Family Friendly!
This is an introductory class of the Indonesian and Indian art of batik, which combines a wax resist process, dye, and fabric. This class will involve hot wax and will run for 2-3 hours.

Location: Downstairs Classroom
Supplies: Students should bring a simple design idea with with a pattern no bigger than 12"x12" and a fine tip black sharpie. Additional hair dryers are helpful. Dye, wax, fabric, and tools will be provided. Multiple patterns also available for students to use.
