Pastels & Plein Air Workshop!
Join Bonnie Griffith in a two-day pastel and plein air workshop! Designed as an immersive introduction to the medium of pastels, this experience offers invaluable insights into their application, techniques, with a bit of plein air instruction mixed in! Discover the artistry of pastels, while gaining practical tips and tricks to enhance your skills. This workshop fosters a supportive environment where students can build confidence and overcome any apprehensions about both working with pastels and creating en plein air. Join us for a memorable exploration of pastels and plein air!

Supplies:
- Soft Pastels, professional-grade (Sennelier, Unison, Richeson, Terry Ludwig, Great American, etc.)
- 4 sheets of 9"x12" 400 grit UArt Paper or LuxArchival Sanded Paper (available from Jerry's Artarama or most online art stores)
- NuPastels - black, gray, ocher, red (small set or individual sticks in suggested colors)
- 3-4 gradients of gray to black marking pens for thumbnail sketches
- Old 1" brush, sponge brush
- Board for your paper and painter's tape
- Small sketchbook
- Krylon Workable Fixative
- Apron
Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing for summer, sunscreen, and bring water and lunch!
