I consider clay to be my God-given medium to be engaged creatively. I work primarily with stoneware clay ( a clay that I fire to a temperature that transforms it to a point where water cannot pass through it). The process of transformation from mud to stone first captured my soul in 1973..I'm still fascinated with the mystery. Much as the turtles shells are their place of refuge and rest, clay has become mine. My most recent series of work revolves around people interacting with my turtles in the form of the simple game Tic, Tac, Toe. ""
