Robert Anders works primarily in sculpture, painting and drawing, using direct observation to investigate longing, presence, and intimate engagement with the seen world. His small works condense vast landscapes or emotional terrains into essential moments, fragments that carry the resonance of something much larger. "Small works acknowledge the larger familair landscape as an unachievable whole. The whole is never reproduced...but through our own individual perspective we can begin to absorb it as a fragment and come to love some tiny portion intimately." 

An accomplished multi-media artist, business owner, builder and entrepreneur, Robert Allen Anders was born and raised in Sounthern California. He studied fine art and graphic design throughout the 1970s while refining his skills in sculpture, ceramics, and carpentry. Robert is a registered yoga instructor, active outdoor painter, potter, printmaker, sculptor, and gardener. He enjoys an active, rural lifestyle at his home and studio in beautiful Baker City, Oregon.
