Offical Press Release Announcing the New Partnsership for Oktoberfest

Together, Crossroads Carnegie Art Center and Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort are pleased to announce their partnership in Oktoberfest in Baker County, September 2024.

Both organizations focus heavily on local youth programming. While Crossroads’ Friday Harvest dinner will still be primarily raising critical funds for the Art Center, this years’ two-day Oktoberfest event will also concentrate on raising funds for arts and outdoor recreation for our local youth. Both events are co-sponsored by Anthony Lakes and Crossroads, supporting Anthony Lakes youth programs including Ski for the Health of It and Crossroads’ ArtSpeak program which provides free after school art classes for at risk children.

Crossroads will continue its Harvest Dinner with auctions on Friday September 27th at the Pythian Castle Ballroom with dinner provided by Anthony Lakes Outdoor Recreation Association. This seated dinner is for 100 guests and along with both live and silent auctions, guests are also invited to make monetary contributions to youth programming at Crossroads and Anthony Lakes.

Then, on Saturday September 28th, Anthony Lakes will host a more traditional and family friendly Oktoberfest at the Lodge at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort. Crossroads will bring arts opportunities to the lodge creating a fun way to combine arts and outdoor recreation.

“Crossroads has long valued our partnership with Anthony Lakes, and we are excited to create this partnership.  Crossroads dinner events have always been beloved by our patrons, and we want to continue this part of the Oktoberfest weekend.  Our dedicated volunteer committee wants to grow Oktoberfest in Baker County into a community wide celebration fundraiser for our communities’ youth.  We are thrilled to partner with the wonderful team at Anthony Lakes!”  Ginger Savage, Executive Director Crossroads

“Anthony Lakes is really excited for this unique opportunity to bridge arts and outdoor recreation with a fun, family friendly event. We anticipate a day of eating brats, dancing to Bavarian tunes, and raising funds for our growing youth programs. With Crossroads as a cornerstone of arts in our region, we are grateful to further this partnership with such a wonderful organization.” Chelsea Judy, Marketing Director, Anthony Lakes Outdoor Recreation Association.

More detailed plans including the schedule of events, ticket pricing, and activities will come later in the year, so save the date and mark your calendars for September 27th and 28th 2024!  Questions contact Ginger Savage at ginger@crossroads-arts.org  or Chelsea Judy at chelsea@anthonylakes.com.
