As we celebrate the 250^th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Crossroads team wanted to do something special for our community.

Thanks to the Braemer Charitable Trust/Trust Management LLC and the Oregon 250 Commission, we invited the creative team at DDRC Marketing to film Baker County residents sharing the Declaration of Independence.

We started in October and have filmed every month since, ending with Juniper Joseph Snowboarding at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort in mid-January.

We invited community members from all walks of life to share the powerful words that formed this nation. All the while showcasing the beauty of the Baker County landscape! From the beauty of the Keating Valley to our museums, parks, and beloved community spaces.

So on this special day, February 14^th, 2026, the 167th Anniversary of Oregon’s Admission to the Union, and Valentine’s Day, this is our love letter to our community.
