January 2020 Annual Student Art Show
January 3, 2020- February 1, 2020
Crossroads welcomes back The Annual Student Art Show! Every year we invite students from all levels to exhibit their art in the gallery. This January, Crossroads expects a wonderful turnout from local schools of Baker County and class rooms that encourage art creativity. If you have taken an art class with Crossroads Carnegie Art Center and would like to exhibit please bring your art piece to the upstairs gallery on December 30th before 5pm. Otherwise, join us for First Friday where the music students of Allison Swensen-Mitchell will be giving a live performance accompanied by Hannah Violette. Enjoy some light refreshments and enter for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to D&J Tacos.
Not only with a selection of our local schools, art created here at Crossroads will be shared in half of the gallery with high school students. Classes teaching 2-D media include Becky Litke, Paul Hoelscher, Amy VanGaasbeck, Jan Clark, Megan McGuinness, Hillery Lay, Antonia Carriere. And 3-D classes such as pottery and various mixed medias including crafts are taught by Shannon Gray, Mo Quinn, Ginger Rembold, Mary Sue Rightmire, Terri Axness, Dawn Marie de Lara, and Brenda Johnson. We hope to see many artists who took art classes enter this year and will inspire the creativity within this community. Crossroads hopes many of these high school students will be on exhibition with the High School Student Show at Eastern Oregon University in February at Nightingale Gallery. There are many scholarship and prize opportunities for these High School Students and Crossroads hopes you take a look at our current and future class schedules for children and adults. We'll see you at the Crossroads!
