"Step Out of Your Comfort Zone" is this year's theme for our Annual Open Theme Show. Artists were invited to explore a new medium, to use an existing medium in a new unique way, to push their boundaries, brainstorm and harness their creativity. For example, a watercolor artist may change mediums and experiment with acrylic or oil paints. A still life painter may explore the natural world and paint a landscape. Another example may be a ceramic artist who usually throws bowls and mugs on a pottery wheel who may decide to hand build a large vase. The creative opportunities are abundant and the possibilities could go on and on. Crossroads is very excited to share original, surprising, unique and inspiring artwork with you during the month of April with the opening reception on First Friday, April 5th from 5:30 to 8pm. There will be a People's Choice Award, the winning artist will receive $100 and a custom made glass award. As always, the show is free and there will be a drawing to win a $25 gift certificate to Sweet Wife Bakery. We hope you'll stop by and see what's new!
