Ballet 2.5
This season, we are trying a different approach with this class level. It is open to dancers ages 8 and older, the prerequisite being that they have had two previous sessions of Ballet 2 at Crossroads, or the equivalent at another studio. The expectation is that dancers already know and understand the basics of ballet vocabulary and have acquired some basic skills. The most important requirement is the desire to improve their skills and move through some more complex phrases. We will always focus on correct technique, but we will also put more emphasis on developing the ability to remember choreography. We typically explore more contemporary movement as an addition to traditional ballet technique.
