Making Miniatures: Kitchen
Family Friendly!
Yes, you can have the kitchen of your dreams! It might be a bit small to host Thanksgiving, but it will look charming on a shelf or in your 1:12 scale dollhouse. In this class, we’ll build a tiny table with simple side chairs, create a small bank of cabinets, and install a kitchen sink. In class, we’ll focus on using recycled objects and materials for quick, easy building, as well as do a bit of miniature woodworking and dabble in polymer clay techniques. Students will leave knowing how to create additional appliances, cabinetry, and accessories if they wish.
This class is part of a series of 1:12 Miniatures classes Crossroads is offering this autumn, and if you don’t already have a home for these small creations, we encourage you to also sign up for Laura Klement’s dollhouse building class at Churchill School, but anyone can participate!
