Making Miniatures: Furnishing the Parlor or Living Room
Family Friendly!
Whether you’re furnishing a whole dollhouse or just creating a miniature scene on a shelf, your 1:12 scale dolls will enjoy having a comfy chair, a good book, and light to read by. In this class, we’ll learn techniques for creating these furnishings from found objects, as well as get a taste of woodworking on a small scale, so whether your taste runs toward “eclectic Hobbit-Borrower” or “Mr. Darcy’s Parlor,” you can bring the vision to (tiny) life.
This class is part of a series of 1:12 Miniatures classes Crossroads is offering this autumn. If you don’t already have a home for these small creations, we encourage you to also sign up for Laura Klement’s dollhouse building class at Churchill School, but anyone can participate!
