1/12 Scale Dolls
Family Friendly!
Miniatures aren’t just for kids! While this class was scheduled with holiday gifting possibilities in mind, you might just want to keep these little figures for yourself. In this class, we are making 1/12th-scale dolls that fit the most common-sized dollhouses and furnishings. Learn simple techniques to make charming, poseable dolls in this 1-inch = 1-foot scale (If you’re 5’6”, you’re 5.5 inches tall in this world). You’ll also learn what to look for in fabrics and found items to create believable and, if desired, historically appropriate figures, so you can go on to create a whole family or even a whole village.
This class is part of a series of 1:12 Miniatures classes Crossroads is offering this autumn. If you don’t already have a home for these small dolls, we encourage you to also sign up for Laura Klement’s dollhouse building class at Churchill School, but anyone can participate!
