Younger Artists Explorations!

This ongoing weekly course introduces younger students to the principles and elements of design through a variety of art forms, techniques, and mediums. Instructor Dawn-Marie DeLara, who remembers all too well how boring rules and lectures can kill artistic interest before it’s even piqued, keeps the format light and playful while still rich in content. Budding artists will start to build a foundation of skills and experiences that will enable them to bring their ideas to form with less of the frustration common to kids in this age group who are beginning to want to make a thing “look right”. And yes, we also challenge the ideas about what “looks right”, why, and whether it matters. Parents encouraged to attend, seating available
