Don't miss this feast for the eyes! Chris Halley's masterful metal work is perfectly paired with Lauren Chaney's brilliant colorful paintings with subject matter full of mystery. We are celebrating emerging artists, as well as high school student work, to start our year off with fresh ideas and energy for the arts. Come and support our growing art community during the month of January!

Cole, an oil painter concentrating on figurative work, and Peacher, an acrylic painter who captures memories from world travel, both draw inspiration from the human spirit and form. Our featured painters come to us from Boise and we are thrilled to house this vibrant, emotional, and experiential show coming to us in November.
Leah Svendsen and Will Roundy bring us an encaustic exhibit in the month of October! Both artists are long time residents from Joseph, Oregon who share a love of painting and wax. "Spanning Time, Paintings in Wax" was born from a childhood saying they're fond of; another way of saying "spending time". In the show, Roundy explores time through seasonal color parings in his ethereal abstract pieces. Svendsen comments on time concepts, mostly the present moment, through representational works.
This is the time of year we gladly display the work of numerous artists from across the region and shower them with appreciation by awarding our biggest prizes to date! We are so fortunate to offer the Barbara Wilbur Family Fund award of $1000 for this year's theme 'Abstraction'. We will also award 1st place & 2nd place winners in both 2D & 3D work, Best of Show, People's Choice, and a number of other specific prizes for watercolor, photography, fiber art, ceramics, and pastel! Don't miss this First Friday in all of its excitement!
